Nordic Morning Group has decided to change its name to Edita Group Plc. This results from a major change process that the Group has undergone in recent years. The latest news regarding the Group’s transition was the divestment of the Nordic Morning business area and brand in December 2021.
Today, the Group comprises the operations of Edita Publishing and Edita Prima. In the future the Group will focus fully on the development of these companies’ businesses. Both companies are showing strong financial performance and have excellent opportunities to develop and grow.
“It was natural and easy to choose Edita Group as our new company name. As a brand Edita is well known and highly appreciated among our customers, employees, and other stakeholders. It both shows respect to our long history but also gives clear direction to our Group’s future with the aim to further develop the businesses of both Edita companies,” says Kristiina Kujala, the Interim CEO.
The new name will become effective later this spring as soon as the registration process in the Finnish Patent and Registration Office is completed. The trade name of the Group is Edita Group Oyj in Finnish and Edita Group Abp in Swedish. The domicile of the company is Helsinki.
